“Language is not a mere tool of communication, it is an indication of wealth and richness of civilizations” was the message rendered by the chief guest, Dr. Sudhir Raj K, Professor (General Management Area) at the Justice K. S. Hegde Institute of Management, NMAMIT, Nitte. Dr. Sudhir Raj was addressing Nitte University on the occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava on 6th November, 2017 at the University Auditorium, Paneer campus, Mangalore. Dr. Sudhir Raj is a B-High Artist of All India Radio, Mangalore and acted in Kannada and Tulu Films and Serials. He kept the audience enthralled with his narrations of his close association with legendary film star, Dr. Rajkumar. The program began with delightful rendition of “Naada Geethe – Jai Bharatha Janani” by the students of Nitte University Center of Science Education and Research. Dr. Indrani Karunasagar presided the function and congratulated the students for their efforts to uphold the traditions of the state, and by doing so they are doing the greatest service to our Nation. The students presented a vibrant cultural program which reflected various shades of rural, urban and traditional practices of Karnataka.
