As a part of Community Health Nursing posting, Final year BSc Nursing students along with Department of Community Health Nursing, Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences organized an In-Service Education Program for Anganwadi workers on Identification and Care of Malnourished Child” at P H C Natekal, on 25 November 2017. Mrs. Kalpana, Supervisor, Anganwadi Worker was the Chief guest. The program began with the welcome speech by Ms. Krithika, final year B.Sc Nursing student.Mrs. Sukanya, (Asst. Lecturer) explained about the various management and preventive measures. The program includes twenty Anganwadi workers of the Natekal PHC. The beneficiaries have appreciated the efforts put forth by the students and faculty of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences and expressed that the program made them to understand how to assess and overcome malnutrition among children.
