The Interns Academic club in association with Career Guidance cell of ABSMIDS organized a CDE PROGRAM on” HOW TO CREATE AN ILLUSTRIOUS CAREER IN DENTISTRY WHEN EVERYTHING APPEARS SATURATED” by Dr Rajeev Chitguppi, on 8th November 2017 at Vimshathi Bhavan, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences. Deralakatte, Mangalore.
Prof.(Dr.) Shishir Shetty Dean Students Welfare welcomed the gathering and spoke on the uniqueness of the CDE program. The Chief Guest Prof Dr C S Shastry, Chairman Nitte University Placement cell spoke on the importance and need for creating new Jobs and to be Job creators rather than Job seekers. Prof. (Dr.) N Sridhar Shetty, Founder Dean and Director CADSS spoke on importance of self employment and to be Career oriented. Prof.(Dr.) Rajendra Prasad, Director PG Studies, Dr G Subhas Babu and Heads of various Departments and Faculty members were present on the occasion.
The Guest faculty Dr Rajeev Chitguppi spoke on the opportunities in Dentistry. He spoke at length on the Career options after BDS, MDS and on starting of dental start-ups. He further highlighted on the scope for higher studies abroad especially in U.S. and Canada. The first session went on till 12.30 pm. In the second session group counseling was held on each area of interest comprising of what after BDS, what after MDS, Studies abroad and Dental ventures.
Nearly 250 delegates from Dental college attended this useful CDE lecture.
