Valedictory of KSCST’s 40th Series of Student Project Programme - NMAMIT

The valedictory of KSCST’s 40th Series State-level Seminar and Exhibition of Student Project Programme was organised on Saturday, 12th August, 2017 by NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte in association with Karnataka State Council for Science & Technology (KSCST). The Director of Bapuji Institute of Technology, Prof.Rushabendrappa who was the chief guest of the function shared his opinion about KSCST’s Student Project Programme (SPP) series as one of the most innovative platform for technical students to showcase their innovative projects and get good inputs from many experts to improve the technology. It is happy that the student’s projects are getting commercialised in the current days. He also stated that the programmes like these will help in attaining cultural exchange and to mingle with people from various parts of the state.

Secretary of Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology & Professor in the Department of Materials Engineering, Indian Institute of Science Prof.S Subramanian who was the guest of honour of the event spoke about the co-operation extended by NMAMIT during 40th series of KSCST as a memorable one. He also expressed his deep felt joy about the successful completion of the mega event with the support of students and faculties from different technical institutes of various districts of Karnataka.

Sri.N Vishal Hegde, Trustee of Nitte Education Trust and Pro-Chancellor of Nitte University in his presidential remarks stated that the KSCST’s 40th Series of Student Project Programme has given a new dimension to the campus by conducting such a mega event. Students who have research oriented thinking have to take their innovative idea into next level so that they can establish a small startup unit and create employment to many’ he added.

Dr.S.G Sreekanteswara Swamy, Executive Secretary of KSCST welcomed the gathering. Principal of NMAM Institute of Technology Dr.Niranjan N Chiplunkar briefed about the successful completion of the event. The Chief Co-ordinator of 40th Series of SPP Dr.Radhakrishnan delivered Vote of Thanks. Dr.Vidya from the Department of Biotechnology compered the programme. Mr.Venkatesh, Co-ordinator of KSCST- SPP read the list of winning projects of Seminar and Exhibition.

560 engineering students from 102 colleges exhibited 230 Student Projects. 135 faculties from all over Karnataka and 75 expert officials attended this two day SPP Programme held at Nitte. St.Joseph’s college of Engineering bagged the most prestigious ‘Best Performing College of the Year’ Award in the 40th Series KSCST Student Project Programme.
