Dr. A. Ananthram Shetty, Adjunct Professor at NUCSReM, conferred with prestigious British Professorship Award

Dr. A. A. Shetty, Chair of Orthopaedics and Director of Research, Institute of Medical Sciences, Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent, United Kingdom (UK), and Adjunct Professor, Nitte University Centre for Stem Cell Research and Regenerative Medicine (NUCSReM), KSHEMA has been conferred with the prestigious Hunterian Professorship and the Medal of Honour for 2017 by United Kingdom’s Royal College of Surgeons for his research on stem cells towards articular cartilage repair. The award ceremony was held at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, London on 28th April, 2017.

The Hunterian Professorship award is named after ace surgeon and scientist John Hunter, and is one of the most highly-regarded annual awards in the field of surgery.
