The world mental health day was observed by the department of Psychiatric nursing on 26/10/2016 in Olavinahalli home for destitute, Thalapady Mangaluru. Mrs Nalini. M HOD Department Of Psychiatric Nursing NUINS, presided over the programme. Sr. Lucy Rodrigues Superior, Olavinahalli home for destitute, inaugurated the programme. The awareness program began at 2.30PM with a welcome note by Mrs. Sharmila, I M.Sc. Department of Psychiatric Nursing. Dr. Nithin Ambekar Psychiatrist, KSHEMA, Resource person of the day addressed on the theme “psychological first aid”. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Sukesh Lecturer Department of psychiatric nursing and recreational activities conducted by M.Sc, P.BB.Sc Nursing and GNM students. They were around 150 Beneficiaries.
