A seminar on "Pipette Maintenance, techniques and Decontamination procedure " by the technical team from Eppendorf India was organised at NUCSER,Webinar Centre on 25th August 2016 for the Students and Faculty to highlight the correct use of a micropipette . Mr Babu, National Manager Consumables and Pipettes, Eppendorf India emphasized on the best practices for handling micropipettes, which are important basic tools widely used in the laboratory but are often neglected as well. Students and staff had an interaction with the technical team comprising of Mr. Sunil Kumar, National Manger Services and Mr. Bharath Kumar,Territory Manager clarifying the use of different pipetting techniques, the applications of different types of pippettes and the care needed during handling pipettes.
Dr. Akash N. from Acquity Labs Bangalore and Dr.Yadhu Kumar from GATC Biotech, Germany enthused the under graduate and post graduate students on "Career Opportunities in Biomedical Science" on 26th August 2016 at Seminar Hall, NUCSER .The speakers also highlighted the application of bioinformatics as an integral tool for biological research.They encouraged the students to identify their own areas of interest and perfect themselves in that field to achieve greater heights.
