As a part of World Breast Feeding Week Celebration-2016 the Department of Child Health Nursing has conducted a Health Education programme and Role Play on ‘Breast feeding’ techniques, positions and importance of exclusive breast feeding in Masthikatte, Ullal Anganwadi. The programme was conducted on 06-08-16 at 10-11 am under the guidance of Mrs. Harsha Thomas, Lecturer and Ms. Samseena, Asst. Lecturer, Department of Child Health Nursing, NUINS.
The programme started with a role play of third year B Sc Nursing students about the importance of exclusive breast feeding and thereafter health education was given to the mothers by Prof. Sabitha Nayak, Vice Principal Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences. There were 35 mothers who benefited from this programme. Refreshment was distributed to both Anganwadi children and mothers at the end of the programme.
