Literary Fest ‘Lit Stars-2016 - NSAMFGC Bengaluru

The Annual Literary Fest ‘Lit Stars’ commenced on August 8, 2016 with an aim to promote the literary qualities of students through various activities. The fest was inaugurated by PU and Degree Principals - Mrs. Rajalakshmi and Dr. Meera Krishnappa in the presence of Mr. Rohit Punja, Administrator NET. During the inaugural programme, all the speakers stressed on the need for fluency of language in order to avail better opportunities in today’s world.

Some of the special features of ‘Lit Stars 2016’:

Students participated in all events with enthusiasm. Some of the events witnessed participation of over 100 students. The efforts and initiatives by student co-ordinators and teachers were really commendable. Degree students along with PU students participated in all events. Special thanks to PU Principal and their staff for coordinating with Degree College. Over 300 students took part in various events in the week-long Fest. The following events were conducted during the fest: Essay Writing Competition, Debate, Poetry, Spell Bee, Pick and Act, Picture Reading, Elocution, Quiz, Mime, Drama, Storytelling and Memory Test Valedictory Programme

The valedictory programme took place on 13th August, 2016. Dr. Damodar Shetty, former professor of St. Aloysius College, Mangalore graced the occasion as the Chief Guest for the programme. Mr. Ronald, faculty coordinator briefed the audience about the Annual Literary Fest ‘Lit Stars 2016’. The Chief Guest urged students to hone their literary skills so that they can give scope to their creativity.

As part of valedictory function, students staged some mesmerizing skits and mime acts on topical themes such as Female Infanticide, The Selfie Craze, Indian Women etc. This was followed by the ‘Prize Distribution’ and finally the vote of thanks.
