The old students association of A.B.Shetty memorial institute of dental sciences (ABSOSA) organized an Endowment Lecture on Saturday, 9th July 2016. Prof.Dr.Krishna Nayak Principal & Dean delivered the welcome address and recalled the contribution of Prof Dr N Sridhar Shetty. Prof Dr S Ramananda Shetty Vice chancellor of Nitte University presided over the program and highlighted the rich contribution of Prof Dr N Sridhar Shetty towards the development of dental College as one of the best in the Country. He applauded the old Student's association for conducting this innovative program every year.
Speaker Dr P.V.Rai Consultant Neurophysician (retired) from Switzerland spoke on Epilepsy care in Europe and India . He stressed in detail the importance of knowing the clinical aspects associated with various types of Epilepsy, its care and its management in Indian clinical set up. A memento was presented by Honorable Vice chancellor Prof Dr S Ramananda Shetty to Speaker Dr P V Rai.
Some of the old students of Prof Dr N Sridhar Shetty who were great achievers in the field of Dentistry were felicitated on the occasion by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr S Ramananda Shetty. Prof Dr Y Bharath Shetty, Principal & Dean of AJIDS and Member of Dental council of India , Dr Shivsharan K Shetty Member of Dental Council of India and Dr Shubhan S Alva President of Karnataka State IDA were felicitated.
Prof Dr G Subhas Babu coordinator of ABSOSA delivered the vote of thanks. Dr Arvind Nagaraja Post graduate of Periodontia compered the program. Nearly 250 participants including Heads of various Medical and Dental Departments , Staff, Post graduates and Interns attended this highly innovative program.
