A Continuing Dental Education programme on “PIEZOSURGERY” was conducted by the Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences on 5th July 2016 at Thrimshati Bhavan. The programme was inaugurated by Prof (Dr) Krishna Nayak , the Chief Guest and Dean , A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences & Prof(Dr)Mithra N Hegde , Vice Dean , Dean of Faculty of Dental Sciences , Head of the Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences ,who is also the Organizing Chairperson for the programme. The chief resource person Mr Renato Di Martino, Application specialist, Skanray - Mectron.
An informative lecture session by Prof(Dr)Mithra N Hegde on “Introduction to Piezosurgery” was followed by a demonstration & hands on session by Mr Renato Di Martino on the same. The programme was attended by 100 faculty members and postgraduate students from the institution.
