Dr. NSAM PU College organized Orientation for I PUC students and their parents on 15/06/2016. Freshers and their parents actively participated in the common assembly and the program held in the seminar hall. Mrs. Sunitha Mahesh, Counselor and Director of CCD creators, was the program facilitator of the day and Chief Guest of the occasion. Guest of Honour was Shri Rohit Punja, Administrator, NET, Bangalore.
The program began with the rendition of invocation song by Shri Rohit Punja addressed the gathering. He talked about the teamwork required among parent, student and teacher. He also stressed the need for early escalation and he encouraged students and parents to reach out to the teachers when they needed help.Welcome speech was delivered by the Principal, Mrs. K.P. Rajalakshmy. She introduced all the faculty members to the audience. Lecturers briefed about the cultural and academic calendar for the year 2016-17. Rules of conduct and expectation of the college from students and parents were also elaborated.
Simultaneously, Mrs. Sunitha Mahesh, addressed Senior students in another seminar hall. She spoke on goal setting, life skills and career prospects to the students.After a break, she addressed parents and gave tips on managing adolescents effectively. Freshers were taken for a campus tour by the faculty members. Later Mrs. Sunitha had a session with them. All the sessions conducted by Mrs. Sunitha Mahesh were interesting, valuable and informative.Parents expressed their gratitude for this rich experience.
