17th Annual Day - NSAMFGC - Bengaluru

On the 21st April 2016, the Dr. Nitte Shankara Adyanthaya Memorial First Grade College celebrated its 17th Annual day in a colourful and grand manner. The Final Year students had toiled night and day to create a beautiful ambience while the rest of the students had practised for the cultural extravaganza that formed part of the informal part of the programme.

The Chief Guest for the day was former Lok Ayukta of Karnataka, Justice Santosh Hegde while the Guest of honour was Mr. S. R Vishwanath, MLA of Yelahanka Constituency. The programme was presided by Dr. N.R Shetty, Chief Mentor, NMIT and former VC of Bangalore University.Justice Santosh Hegde in his address stressed the need to cultivate the values of humanity in a society that is fast shedding these values. He exhorted the students to fight against dishonesty and corruption in any form as he stressed that they were the future citizens of the country and it was their responsibility to bring about change.

MLA Mr. S.R Vishwanath stated that all politicians were not necessarily corrupt and that change would only come from political leaders.The formal part of the programme also saw the release of the annual magazine PRISM 2016 by the Chief Guest. The cultural programme exhibited the talents of the students in dance, drama, mime and calisthenics. It was an evening marked by gaiety, vibrancy and exuberance. The highlight of the evening was the entrance of the cast and producer of the Kannada film, ‘Akira’ which is scheduled for release on 6th May 2016. As the young actors interacted with the students there was a celebratory mood.

The evening ended with dinner and was a grand success in more ways than one, thanks to the team efforts of the students and all the staff.
