Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy celebrated world health day on April 07 Th at Abhaya ashram Asaigoli. The programme was inaugurated by Registrar Nitte university Prof Dr M.S.Moodithaya followed by addressing the students on various aspects of rural service among health professionals. President Abhaya ashram Mr Sreenath hegde Addressed the role of Motivation among geriatric population.
Nitte Institute of physiotherapy college Principal Dr Dhanesh kumar k u welcomed the gathering. Mrs Suchetha Delivered the vote of thanks. After the formal Inauguration Fruits distribution was done to all the inmates of Abahaya ashram donated by Physiotherapy faculty’s voluntary unit called “Karunya”. Health awareness talk was delivered by Dr Dhanesh kumar to the inmates of old age geriatric population. And physiotherapy students played a skit to create the awareness of health fitness role in preventing diseases. Karunya Unit a voluntary organization run by the teaching faculty’s of physiotherapy who donates every month rehabilitation assistive devices to most deserved patients.
Coordinator of Karunya Ms Sumam sunny and students secretary Ms Sushmitha shetty were present on occasion.
