The department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences conducted a CDE program on ‘Esthetics in Composites- A Clinician’s perspective’ on 6th April, 2016 at Vimshathi Bhavan in the college premises. The speaker was Dr. Madhava Murthy, a renowned restorative and esthetic dentist from Bangalore. The function was inaugurated in the presence of the Dean Prof. (Dr.) U.S. Krishna Nayak. The welcome address was given by the head of the department, Prof. (Dr.) Amitha. M. Hegde. The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. (Dr.) Vabitha Shetty.
The CDE was attended by 95 delegates, including staff and post- graduates from various colleges in and around Mangalore. The program included two sessions of lectures followed by a demonstration on the various techniques of composite restoration. Dr. Murthy provided a very good insight into the topic and had an interactive session with the delegates. It was very well perceived and accepted by all.
