National Science Day celebration - NUCSER

The National Science Day 2016 was celebrated with great fervour on the 29th Feb, 2016 at Nitte University. A day long program was planned, starting with a formal felicitation function for two distinguished Clinician Scientists Prof. V I Mathan and Prof. Minnie Mathan for their Lifetime Contribution to Medical Research. The felicitation function was followed by a lecture by Prof. V I Mathan, who spoke on the Challenges in Clinical Research. In his talk, Dr. Mathan encouraged young researchers through examples from his own experiences. He discussed the challenges that researchers face and emphasized that research can be accomplished only if one is internally driven to achieve a goal. Dr. Indrani Karunasagar, Director (R&D), Nitte University, welcomed the gathering and spoke of the significance of celebrating this day. Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of Nitte University Prof. S. Ramananda Shetty, Pro-Chancellor, Prof. M. Shantharam Shetty, Prof. Satheesh K. Bhandary, Dean, KSHEMA and Prof. J P Shetty, Registrar, KSHEMA were also present at the event. The event was jointly conducted by NUCSER and K.S. Hegde Medical Academy. In the afternoon, Dr. Minnie Mathan conducted an interactive session with the students and staff of K.S. Hegde Medical Academy.






NUCSER faculty conducted several events such as Science Elocution, Science Modelling and Quiz for their students at Paneer Campus. The celebration was concluded by a formal prize distribution function. Dr. Indrani Karunasagar, Director, NUCSER and Mrs. Kiran T., Advertising Manager, Nitte University gave away the prizes to the winners.
