Mock drill on fire safety - NUINS

The Youth Red Cross Unit of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences organized “Mock Drill on Fire Safety” on 02/03/2016 at NUINS campus. Dr. Fatima D’ Silva Principal Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences focused on various types of disasters and their preparedness. Mr. Prashanth Kamath, Fire Safety Officer of Nitte University was the resource person of the mock drill event. He briefed and demonstrated on various fire safety measures of using fire extinguisher and management of domestic fire accidents. Prof. Philomena Fernandes played the role of Evacuation Supervisor, Dr. Neetha Kamath enacted as the Incident Commander, Ms. Rakshitha and Ms Swathi were involved in the emergency rescue operation team. Student representatives of Youth Red Cross Unit have also taken active role in the fire safety mock drill. Faculties from other Institution under Nitte University were a part of mock drill event.
