A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences as a part of the 30th year celebrations (Dazzle 30) organized Oral Health Mela on 5th and 6th February 2016 to spread Oral Health Awareness among school children and general public. The Inaugural Function was held at the College premises on Friday 5th February at 9:30 AM. This unique program was inaugurated by Sri.N.V.Hegde, Chancellor, Nitte University. Prof.(Dr.) U.S.Krishna Nayak, Principal and Dean welcomed the gathering. Prof. (Dr.) M.S.Moodithaya, Registrar, Nitte University, Prof.(Dr.) N.Sridhar Shetty, Former Dean and Director, CADSS, Prof.(Dr.) B Rajendra Prasad, Director, PG Studies and Dr.Audrey D’Cruz, Department In-Charge of Public Health Dentistry and Chairman, Organizing Committee graced the Occasion. Dr.Sahana Maben, Department of Public Health Dentistry delivered the vote of thanks.
As a part of this, Drawing competition, Essay writing competition, Dental Health Checkup and Dental Exhibition were organized at the Institution Campus. 2562 Students from more than 382 Schools in and around Mangalore participated in this Mega event. A Healthy smile competition will be held on 6th along with Oral Health Check-up.
