The Department Of Periodontics, ABSMIDS along with the N.S.S unit of ABSMIDS in association with Al-Ameen Kutumba Sahayaka Sangatane organized a ORAL HEALTH AND PERIODONTAL SCREENING CAMP at Neralakatte on 17th January 2016.A total of 130 patients were screened for evaluating primarily periodontal health status and other oral health conditions.
Special emphasis was given on maintaining oral health by demonstrating through health models and delivering health talks. Patients in need for periodontal therapy were referred to ABSMIDS for specialty treatment by the faculty and post graduate students.
The camp was inaugurated by Prof .(Dr.) Rahul Bhandary along with N.S.S coordinator Dr. Avaneendra Talwar. A team consisting of 18 members including Staff, Post graduates, Interns, Paramedical staff and 1 medico social worker participated in the Camp
