Women cell of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences organized a guest talk on “Gender Equality” on 27-11-2015 at Seminar Hall, Justice K. S. Hegde Charitable Hospital, Deralakatte. The programme started at 2.30pm with invocation followed by welcome speech by Assoc. Prof. Mrs. Nalini, Coordinator of Women’s Cell. Dr. Sumalatha R. Shetty, Professor, Department of Anaesthesiology & Critical Care, KSHEMA, resource person of the day inaugurated the programme and interacted with all participants.
The resource person in her talk focused on What is Gender Equality? Rules and Regulations which should be followed at work place to maintain Gender Equality and how it will affect the society. There were around 50 participants from various constituent college of Nitte University benefited from this programme. The programme ended with Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Dyslyn Lobo, Asst. Lecturer, Department of OBG Nursing and Member, Women’s Cell, NUINS. The participants expressed that the program was effective.
