To empower the nursing faculty and students in upcoming evidence based health care, workshop on Systematic Review and Meta-analysis was organized by the faculty and 2nd year M.Sc (N) students of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences on 3rd and 4th of December 2015 at Seminar Hall, Justice K. S. Hegde Charitable Hospital, Deralakatte. Dr. N. Udaya Kiran, Professor and HOD Community Medicine, KSHEMA inaugurated the function. In Key note address he emphasized the need to incorporate the best practices in nursing care from the research findings. Dr. (Prof) Fatima D’Silva, Principal, NUINS, congratulated the students for organizing the workshop which is very apt for the day. Prof. Sabitha Nayak, Vice Principal, Staff Coordinator Dr. Neetha Kamath were present during the programme.
The scientific deliberation for the workshop will be done by Dr. Unnikrishnan, Professor and HOD, Community Medicine, KMC, Mangalore. Dr. Rashmi Kundapur, Professor, Community Medicine, KSHEMA and Dr. Sanal, Statistician, KSHEMA.
Ms. Indhu, 2nd year M.Sc (N) student welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Jeevitha Alva organizing secretary of the workshop proposed the vote of thanks.
