As part of the 30th year celebration (30 dazzles) the department of Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry through our N-BRITE program conducted a camp for the Govt. Urdu Higher Primary School and Govt. Urdu Higher Secondary School at Hutti, Raichur. The camp was conducted on 18th and 19th November 2015 under the able guidance of Dr. Amitha. M. Hegde, Senior Professor and Head of the Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry.
A total of 100 children (Standard V to Standard X) were screened. Multiple oral findings related to high levels of arsenic in the local potable water were found.
An oral health talk comprising of video play and tooth brushing technique was demonstrated. Visual pedogogy in the form of posters were given to all the parents for reinforcement of oral hygeine measures in the children.
Postgraduates attended: Dr. Anisha Keshan, Dr. Harikrishnan Nair and Dr. Rachaita Chhabra.
