Month Long Dental Camp - ABSMIDS

The month long dental camp was organized by the Department of Public Health Dentistry, A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences Justice K.S.Hegde Memorial Dental Clinic, Nitte in association with the Rotary Club of Nitte being held at St. Joseph's Primary School at Belman, got off to a roaring start this morning at 10 A.M sharp. Apart from the primary and high school children of St. Joseph's School, Belman, children from the neighboring schools including their parents and general public would be benefiting from this month long program. Health education to all the school children, teachers, distribution of toothbrush and toothpaste and dental check up and treatment camp. Patients requiring specialized treatment would be referred to our rural satellite centres at Nitte, Mundkur and Bailoor, and if required to our college at Mangalore.

Prof. (Dr.) U.S.Krishna Nayak, Principal and Dean, Dr. Audrey D’Cruz, In-Charge, Department of Public Health Dentistry and Dr. Niveditha Murthy (Centre- in- charge, Nitte), the President and Secretary of Rotary Club of Nitte, and the Special officer of NET campus Mr. Aravinda Hegde were present at the inauguration of this annual event which has been going on for the past 15 years.
