Children’s Day Celebration - NUINS

As part of the children’s day celebration,17th November -2015, Department of Child Health Nursing Faculties, 3rd year B Sc (N) and GNM Child Health students organized a programme to educate the mothers regarding Personal hygiene. The programme started at 10am with a role play about ‘The importance of personal hygiene in children’ and thereafter health education was given to the mothers by Ms. Joycil D’Silva, student of third year B. Sc Nursing. There were 18 mothers and 20 children who benefited from this health education programme. Games were conducted by the 3rd year GNM students as a part of entertainment to the Anganwadi children. At the end of the programme, refreshment was given to the children as well as the mothers. Mothers were satisfied with health education given; they understood the need of personal hygiene in health and various ways to maintain hygiene of their children.
