NSS unit of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences organized “NSS Special Camp” from 18-10-2015 to 22-10-2015 at Stella Marys School at Kotekar Beeri. The camp was inaugurated on 19-10-2015 at 10.30 am by Prof. Dr. Ramananda Shetty, Vice chancellor, Nitte University and he delivered speech about importance of NSS and students responsibilities in social service. The chief guest of the function was Sri. Satish Kumpala, Jilla Panchayat Vice president, motivated the NSS volunteers by his words. Mr. Rajesh Uchil, President Someshwara gram panchayat explained about someshwara village and student role to improve the village. On this occasion Prof. Sabitha Nayak, Vice principal NUINS, Dr. Muralee Mohan NSS Programme Co-ordinator Nitte University, Mr. Arun and Mrs Veena , Panchayat members were present. Mrs. Suchithra BS NSS programme officer, NUINS, welcomed the gathering. Mrs Cleeta Pinto, NSS programme officer NUINS delivered vote of thanks. The programme was hosted by Ms. Joycil D’souza. Total 50 NSS volunteers and two teachers actively participated in the programme.
