School health education - NUINS

Department of Child Health Nursing and III BSc (N) students organized a mass health education on prevention on risk taking behaviors in adolescents in Netaji Subash Chandra Bose High School, Deralakatte on 9th September. The programme started at 11am with an introduction by the school teacher and then prayer song by III (N) students. 42 adolescent school children attended the health education. It was started by a role play and explanation was given by Ms Deepika and Ms Dilsha on different risk taking behaviors among adolescents, its causes, its effects and preventive measures. PPT was displayed along with the videos to make the talk effective and understandable to the group. The group was co-operative and interactive during the session. The programme was concluded at 12.15pm. Refreshment was served at the end of the programme.
