The A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences along with the Interns Academic Club, A.B.S.M.I.D.S, in association with the Department of Prosthodontics conducted a CDE program.
This is the first program as part of the 30th year celebrations of the institutions. on ‘Legacy of Cranio- Facial Prosthesis in India’ by Prof.(Dr) T. Samraj and on ‘ Evidence based dentistry‘ by Prof.(Dr) Porus Turner on 25 March 2015 at Vimshathi Bhavan, A.B Shetty Dental College campus. Prof.(Dr.)S. Ramananda Shetty, the Vice Chancellor of NITTE University was the Chief Guest of the event. He stressed on research being the need of the hour and inspired the students to strive towards excellence in research. Prof.(Dr.) Chetan Hegde, Head of Department, Department of Prosthodontics welcomed the gathering. Prof.(Dr.) U.S Krishna Nayak, the Principal and Dean of the college presided over the gathering. He briefed the gathering on ‘Evidence Based Dentistry’ being the need of the hour.
Founder Dean and Director of CADSS, Prof.(Dr) N. Sridhar Shetty, Prof.(Dr.) Manoj Shetty, Head of the Implantology Department, Prof.(Dr.) Rajendra Prasad, Director PG Studies NITTE University graced the occasion. Prof.(Dr.) Subash Babu, Coordinator, Interns Academic Club delivered the vote of thanks. The program was attended in large numbers by staff and students alike.
