The 30th College day Celebration of A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences was held on Saturday 11th April 2015 at K.S.Hegde Auditorium.
Prof. (Dr.) B.H.Sripathi Rao, Principal & Dean, Yenepoya Dental College was the Chief guest. He advised students to stay away from habits like Smoking, drinking and drugs by emphasizing on the ill effects and inspired students to choose the right path.
Prof. (Dr.) N.Sridhar Shetty, Founder & Director, CADSS inspired Students to achieve right balance between work and Extracurricular activities.
Prof. (Dr.) Krishna Nayak, Principal & Dean presided over the function.
Prof. (Dr.) Mithra N Hegde, HOD (Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics) welcomed the gathering.
Prof. (Dr.) Sharma, Former Head of Department, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department who retired recently after his three decades of Meritorious Service was given a warm Farewell by the Management, Staffs and Students.
Prof. (Dr.) Priyadharshini Hegde, Dean-Student Welfare read the prize winners.
“Individual Championship for Women” was awarded to Roshni Mathew and “Individual Championship for Men” goes to Beh Jun Hua. “Overall Atheletic Championship for Women” was given to Lisa Jolly, Interns, “Overall Atheletic Championship for Men” and “Best Sports Person” for Suprajit T. “Overall Team Championship” and “Overall Cultural Championship” to Third years Students.
“PROF. (DR.) U.S.KRISHNA NAYAK ROLLING TROPHY- OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP” was presented to third years for excellence in Sports and Cultural.
