Program: Demonstration of ProQuest: Library digital archive software

With a view to provide ‘unlimited free access to unparalleled information collection’ for students, research scholars and faculty members, NGSMIPS has subscribed to cross-disciplinary research tool, ProQuest the largest single academic research resource available. ProQuest’s renowned abstracting and indexing enables researchers to find sources in their area of study quite easily.
Mr. Vikram Sudhakar from ProQuest gave a detailed demonstration of the library digital archive software and answered the questions from the students and faculty. The Students from Nitte Institute of Communication and Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences has participated in the program.
Mr. Chandrashekar, Librarian thanked the principal for the good gesture and called the students to make best use of the software.

The principal Dr. C. S. Shastry said that despite the overwhelming heap of information the internet offers us, it becomes necessary to offer students quick and easy access and retrieval of authentic information that they need for their research and dissertation work. He said that the college has always been proactive and vibrant to the academic needs of the students and the faculty.
