Fourth Nitte International Conference on Higher Education: Special Emphasis on Management Education -JKSHIM

Dr. Satinder Dhiman , MBA Director and Chair, School of Business, Woodbury University, USA, inaugurating the 4th International Conference on Management Education said that B Schools in India have to constantly and extension. He further said that practically in all spheres like admission, curriculum development, evaluation and accreditation, learner centred approach shall be followed.



Two-day International Conference is being organised by the Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte. Dr. Michael Page, Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Bentley University, USA, expressed the opinion that B-Schools should satisfy the needs of the society instead of concentrating only on job. He also released the 16th Issue of the Nitte Management Review, a research journal of the Institute Dr. Dianne Lynne Bevelander, Professor of Management Education Rotterdam School of Management, The Netherlands, pointedly argued that in B-Schools, almost all over the world woman are not getting opportunities of employment. She attacked the male dominated system of Management Education. Shri N Vinaya Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University, making presidential remarks argued that management education is not meant for only business world, management for life and social well–being should be the main goal of management education. Dr. N. K. Thingalaya, Dr. K. Sankaran, Dr. G V Joshi, and Mr. Krishna Prasad also spoke. Dr. Niranjan Chiplunkar was present on the occasion.
