Blood Donation Camp and Release of book “Blood Donor Be Life Saver” - NGSMIPS

NSS unit, NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, conducted a blood donation camp with Blood Bank of Justice K.S. Hegde Charitable Hospital. The venue for the camp Auditorium, Nitte Institute of Banking and Finance, Paneer campus, Deralakatte. The camp was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr. S. Ramananda Shetty, Vice Chancellor, Nitte University, guest of honour for the programme Dr. N. Sukumara Gowda, Founder Director, Centre for Studies in Education, Puttur, NSS co-ordinator of Nitte University Dr. Muralee Mohan Choontharu and Dr. C.S. Shastry, Principal NGSM institute of pharmaceutical Sciences.









Dr. C.S. Shastry, in his welcome speech introduced the chief guest and guest of honour of the programme to the gathering. Chief Guest of the programme Dr. S. Ramananda Shetty, Vice Chancellor, Nitte University, released the book “Blood Donor Be Life Saver” in the occasion. Dr. Muralee Mohan Choontharu, explained about the book in his speech and described the importance of the book which he was written in kannada and then translated to English by Dr. N. Sukumara Gowda. The guest of honour of the programme Dr. N. Sukumara Gowda then spoke about the book and importance to organize a camp like blood donation which is directly beneficial for the society. Honorable Vice Chancellor of Nitte University Dr. S. Ramananda Shetty, explained the importance of NSS activities for the student to learn the selflessness motto of NSS in his presidential remarks. He appreciated the NSS unit of NGSMIPS for conducting such programme and also congratulate Dr. Muralee Mohan Choontharu and Dr. N. Sukumara Gowda for their work on publishing such book by Nitte University which also distributed free to all NSS volunteers and teachers of the university. The inaugural programme was concluded by giving vote of thanks by Santanu Saha, NSS Programme Officer, NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Soon after the programme Blood donation camp started and many students and faculty members donated blood.
