The Principal, Dr. C S Shastry welcomed Mr. Srivatsa Rao and he explained in his introductory speech the achievement of speaker in the field of Regulatory affairs to faculty members, Research Scholars, PG students and UG students gathered.
In session 1 the speaker introduced the field of Regulatory Affairs and the benefits of opting the profession of Regulatory Affairs for the final year B.Pharm students. He also highlighted on the role of Regulatory Affairs professional in the development of a drug product from synthesizing a new molecule to its commercialization in Market for human use.
In session 2 the speaker spoke on the topic “The Happenings in the Emerging Markets - A Challenge to Pharma Industry” by giving a brief introduction to the Emerging Market and the various challenges (language and climatic barriers, rigidity to regulations etc.) faced during the registration of products in these markets.
Session 3 was a discussion forum arranged for the II year M.Pharm students to clarify the doubts on their respective projects which started with a short presentation regarding the NITTE University, NGSMIPS college as well the department of Drug Regulatory Affairs. This discussion forum ended with a photo session. Dr. C.S.Shastry, principal of the institution proposed the vote of thanks and also presented a memento to Mr. Srivatsa Rao as a token of appreciation for sharing his experience and knowledge with students and staff members of the institution.
