The orientation programme of the 1st Year MBBS students for the Academic year 2014-15 was organized on 1st September 2014 by Nitte University followed by the orientation of medical students at the KSHEMA Auditorium. Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary B, Dean, K. S. Hegde Medical Academy, welcomed the gathering and introduced the HOD’s. Dr. A M Mirajkar, Vice Dean of K. S. Hegde Medical Academy informed about the mentors scheme being followed at the college and also he sensitized the junior students about the menace of ragging.Dr.Sateesh Rao Professor and HOD of Psychiatry briefed the students on the campus life and advised them on staying positive. Dr. Srinath Kamath warden boys hostel spoke about the hostel life to new students, Mrs. Supritha J Shetty , Librarian, spoke on the usage of Library to the freshers .
