Teacher's Day at NGSMIPS

Students pay loving tribute to Teachers
Teachers lay the foundation for creating enlightened citizens for the nation. It has been our tradition to hold teachers in highest reverence which is evident from the Sanskrit shloka – “Gurur Brahma, Gurur Vishnu, Gurur Devo Maheshwarah. Gurur Saakshaat Para-Brahma, Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah.” Which means - The Guru is Brahma (The God of Creation), The Guru is Vishnu (The God of Sustenance) The Guru is Shiva (The God of Annihilation), My Salutation to such a Guru, who is verily the Supreme God. This sublime thought was exhibited by the students by putting up a splendid show on 5 th September 2014. The event comprised brief speeches and remarks of love and affection, presenting Roses as token of respect and reverence; entertainment, dance and fun filled contests for teachers. Dr. R.Narayana charyulu along with the other teachers lit the lamp as a symbolic gesture of lighting the lamp of knowledge. The teachers were touched by the loving tribute paid by their students.
