Department of Pathology, K.S.Hegde Medical Academy in association with Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists – Karnataka Chapter, organized an important Continuing Medical Education Programme on “Trans Heamatology 2014” on 09-08-2014 at K.S.Hegde Auditorium, Deralakatte. This scientific programme mainly focused on various issues related with safe blood transfusion. Blood transfusion is a very important for a needy patient whenever there is a massive bleeding due to trauma or cancer related surgery.
Dr.Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Dean, K.S.Hegde Medical Academy is the inaugural officer of the CME programme, Dr.Jayaprakash Shetty, Registrar of K.S.Hegde Medical Academy presided over the function. Dr.Prashanth Haematologist, Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, Dr.ShameeShastry, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, Dr.UrmilabKhadilkar, Dr.Karuna Ramesh Kumar and Dr.Arun, Consultant, Sri Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences, Tirupathi were the resource persons.
