Department of General Surgery orchestrates a CME on Colorectal and Bariatric Surgery presided by Dr. Subhash Kini from Mount Sinai Hospital, New York on 2nd January 2014. Prof (Dr) Shantharam Shetty Pro-Chancellor, Nitte University was the guest of honour. Prof. (Dr.) Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Dean K.S Hegde Medical Academy, inaugurated the programme. The one day CME was inclusive of discourse on Laryngo Pharyngeal Reflux, Bariatric Surgery, Laparoscopic Colectomy & Laparoscopic Retroperitoneal Approach for Adrenal Surgery. The symposium was meticulously presented with Audio-Visual aids concomitant of Master Videos exhibiting new surgical techniques and recent advances in Laparoscopic Surgery. Over a hundred delegates comprising of Staff and post-graduates from regional colleges participated in making the CME a very successful event.
