Brief of inaugural function of Nitte University Centre for Animal Research and Experimentation(NUCARE) and Pharmacy Practice Block The newly established Nitte University Centre for Animal Research and Experimentation (NUCARE) was inaugurated by Prof. B. Suresh, President, Pharmacy Council of India and Vice- Chancellor, JSS University, Mysore on 28th November 2013. He also inaugurated the Pharmacy Practice Block located in KS hedge Charitable Hospital, Deralakatte. While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Suresh asked the pharmacy professionals to engage in drug research to combat the diseases. There is vast opportunity for pharma professionals in the country and abroad. India is a leading producer and exporter of drugs and medicines. It is the job of pharma professionals to ensure that the people get access to affordable medicines, he said. Prof. Shantharam Shetty, Pro Chancellor, Prof. Ramananda Shetty, Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Sudhaker Nayak, Registrar, Nitte University were present. Dr. C.S.Shastry, Principal, NGSM Institte of Pharmaceutical Sciences briefed about the department and research centre. Dr. Narayanacharylu, Vice Principal delivered vote of thanks.
